A day in the life of an American Soldier. The personal passages of everything from family life to war.

Missing soldier update.

American Soldier says,

9:11pm EST.
The soldier from Lawrence Mass was not the soldier who was found today. Sources close to the family say it was a man from California.

I’m sure the MSM will begin pouring this out soon.

Another great loss… To his family, to his friends, to Americans in general.

May the Lord comfort and console his family; especially after the MSM gets ahold of this story.

The world of men has become one of barbarism–imagine the pain felt by US soldiers who are captured and must suffer hours of torture, including drills into head & body parts. I feel so sorry–these Islamists revel in torture. I hope that I never are taken prisoner by these bastards The world must defeat them, using all means to wipe them out. I saw a video taken when Saddham was in power showing a gang of “animals” tearing a dog to pieces and “eating the raw flesh” of the innocent pet. Where do these assholes come from? I will never respect Islam after that. They need to be nuked, and soon. Don’t feel sorry for the women & kids-they all must die.

Your texts hit me in my heart. I lost my mom two years ago at cancer and I know how hard it is to see someone dying you loved so hard.
The soldiers in Irac, Afghanistan etc gain my respect.
    But,
I hate to read these comments of rednecks, like thiis one above mine. “Don’t feel sorry for the wives and kids, they all most die”. Those rednecks, totally brainwashed by their own midwest culture and the media which support ‘the war on terror’. The war is wrong. It is convoked by America and it’s greed to oil and power in the midwest.
I’m not saying you are wrong, you are just doing your duty. How could you know you would be sent off. But the war, your government and the americans which so hard believe in the war, are wrong. They are the terrorists! Those who come home from work, eat their fastfood and sit in front of tv, which tell them that they must be afraid, that the terror is everywhere, that the war must be fought and that the us the only rightshapen land in the world is.
I want you to say that I am not ‘a soft European’ nor a hippie. I’m just a realistic young man who knows that the world is going under by the mistakes of your government, but who can do nothing about it.
I’ll keep reading your news on your blog and I’m sorry for myself I couldn’t tell my meaning like I wanted to be. English is still a foreign language for me  .

    Greetings from Belgium,

P.S: Feel free to write back.

Check your history young man and you’ll see that these United States helped to make your country a free one in the 1940’s. If not for us you might not have access to your computer nor the freedom to make your ridiculous remarks. I love it when you foreigners put us down, but let your country get into the first bit of trouble and who do you call for first, the U.S.A. You hate us until you want something and then you want us to be your best friend. These young American men are losing their lives to try and liberate Iraq just like the U.S. helped to liberate your country just some 63 years ago. So how does that make us terrorists? Do you think that I want my son in a warzone? No. But he made that honorable decision and he has my full support. Then again honor, courage and patriotism isn’t something you can learn, it’s something you just have. God Bless the U.S.A. and all the troops out there brave enough to fight for their great country.

    Hello, Leander Bruggeman,

The United States of America is the simply the leader in this global War on Terror, the country with the greatest number of troops in the Middle East, which makes sense due to the quality of our troops and the USA’s continued commitment to world peace (Amen, Proud Marine Mom). To date, there have been 39 countries fighting the War on Terror in Iraq.

Believing what is presented on TV or in the daily paper doesn’t make anyone realistic, it just means they have believed a world media that has failed us all. European news media is no better than our news media.

I do wonder though how many more times the United States of America must be attacked before we are legitimately “allowed” to fear these threats to our children’s safety?

  7. David Says:

Leadner Bruggeman, correct me if I am wrong, but wasn’t Belgium the country Germany blew through twice in two world wars? (Though many believe that WWI and WWII were the same war with a pause between them).

I think that Belgium is where the Eagle’s Nest was located, along with several other Nazi places. It is easy to sit back, and be in comfort when one thinks there is no danger in the world. However, that attitude is what is turning Europe into an Islamic state, with Sharia laws and all that goes with it.

It is a shame that Europe is not aware of the danger they are in. What is also shameful is that many in the US are also not aware the danger we are in, when Islamic terrorists who are on a religious Jihad (look up the word), are set to convert Europe into a Caliphate.

Americans (along with many other allied countries) send men like AS (who volunteered) to dangerous spots in the world, where liberty is threatened. As one terrorist reported, when asked, what he would do if America left Iraq totally, what would he do?

He responded, “We would follow.” There is no safe place in the world anymore. We are all in danger because of men who are on Jihad, and who want to set up an Islamic Government world wide. Where does one hide? Surely not in Belgium.

Hi from London! It’s the US track record SINCE WW11 that needs examining, a continuous litany of overt and covert interference in other countries to advance its agenda. Completely illegal invasion of Cambodia and look at Vietnam - you think you’d have learned your lesson but it’s never learned because it’s about power and profit. Many in your country see things clearly and realize that brave young men have been sent to die so that the US can have control of Iraq’s oil. The US armed Saddam Hussein - the chemical weapons he poisoned the Kurds with made in a factory in Maryland folks! - and the 9/11 bombers were Saudi but we didn’t confront the Saudi government because despite their atrocious human rights record and the complete absence of democracy they are oil rich allies that allow US military bases on their soil. The facts are all there. It’s so so sad to see people manipulated so easily by their government because they think patriotism is supporting anything they do. True patriotism is standing up for those values enshrined in your constitution and opposing an administration which is spitting on it and laughing at your blindness which allows them free reign. I suggest you re-read those words your country was founded on, and start waking up before more young men are maimed and killed.

    David,

The eagles nest was located in Austria on the Bavarian Alps, not Belgium.

  10. David Says:

Evan, thanks for the correction. Should have checked that out instead of relying on my foggy memory.

  11. David Says:

ilibertine, how do you handle Islamic Terrorists who want to establish Sharia law across the world? How do you handle Islamic terrorism?
